Starship and Super Heavy Stacked Ahead of First Orbital Flight Attempt

SpaceX rolled Ship 41 out of its production facility at Starbase around 7:45pm CDT on September 22, 2026 and lifted it atop Super Heavy booster B21 at the Pad 2 launch mount roughly 5.5 hours later, in the early hours of September 23 — assembling the full 124-meter Starship-Super Heavy stack for the first time ahead of Flight 14, the program's first attempt at reaching full orbital velocity. The launch tower's mechanical arms performed the lift. SpaceX still needs an FAA launch license before the stack can fly; an FAA temporary flight restriction was already in place through October 7. Flight 14 remains targeted no earlier than September 28 at 7:15am CT, carrying 26 operational Starlink V3 satellites on a roughly six-orbit, ~275km, near-10-hour mission ending in a Pacific Ocean splashdown.
