NASA Awards SpaceX $2.6B Commercial Crew Contract

NASA awarded SpaceX a Commercial Crew Transportation Capability (CCtCap) fixed-price contract worth up to $2.6B (Boeing received $4.2B) to develop Crew Dragon. The contract required SpaceX to conduct an uncrewed Demo-1 and crewed Demo-2 before operational rotation missions. It targeted initial service by 2017.
