CRS-3 — First Dragon with Landing Leg Test Hardware

CRS-3 successfully delivered cargo to the ISS and marked the first Falcon 9 flight with deployable landing legs on the first stage. The booster performed a controlled water landing in the Atlantic — not a proper landing, but a test of leg deployment and hover capability. SpaceX was openly preparing for full booster recovery.
