Day 796: Man Shot Dead in Villas del Humaya, North Culiacán

At approximately 5:31 PM on Saturday, September 26, 2026, residents reported gunfire on a closed street at the intersection of Villa de Tres Ríos and Villa Sinaloa, in the Villas del Humaya subdivision (Villa Fontana sector), north Culiacán. Security personnel found an unidentified man of robust build, wearing a black shirt, jeans and black sneakers, lying face-down with multiple gunshot wounds; he had no vital signs on arrival. Mexican Army personnel, SSPC officials and Red Cross paramedics secured the scene while the State General Directorate of Forensic Investigation collected evidence and evidence suggested he may have been abducted before the shooting.
