Day 795: Gunmen Storm Home in Urbi Villas del Sol, Culiacán, Killing Three Men

Shortly after 2:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, armed individuals entered a residence on Avenida Misión Balleza, between Misión Mulegé and Misión Viñadaco, in the Urbi Villas del Sol subdivision, Capistrano sector of Culiacán, and opened fire on the occupants. Mexican Army personnel arriving at the scene found three men with gunshot wounds; Red Cross paramedics confirmed all three had died before treatment. The victims were identified as José de Jesús, 55, Aníbal, 39, and a third man known by the alias 'El Caimán.' Investigative police and state forensic experts recovered shell casings from large-caliber firearms; no arrests were reported.
