Day 794: Man Shot Dead in Front of Residence Near Civil Cemetery, Downtown Culiacán

At approximately 5:20 PM on September 24, 2026, an unidentified man — slim build, light brown complexion, wearing a green shirt, navy pants and black sneakers — was shot by unknown assailants in front of a residence on Boulevard Gabriel Leyva Solano, between Ignacio Aldama and José García Granados streets, near the Civil Cemetery in downtown Culiacán. Mexican Army personnel, municipal police and Red Cross paramedics responded to a 911 call; the victim had no vital signs on arrival. The body was transferred to the Medical Examiner's office; state forensic and police personnel are investigating.
