Day 785: Gunmen in Sedan Attack Scrap-Metal Shop in Culiacán's Díaz Ordaz Neighborhood

Around 4:30 PM on September 16, 2026, occupants of a white sedan opened fire on a scrap-metal buying-and-selling stand at the corner of Constituyentes Ciro Ceballos and Cándido Aguilar streets in the Gustavo Díaz Ordaz neighborhood of western Culiacán, then fled. Roughly three workers were inside at the time and were unharmed; the attack caused only material damage to the storefront. SEDENA personnel secured the scene and state investigators recovered spent shell casings.
