Day 785: Man Shot Six Times Outside His Home at the Southern Exit of Villa Unión, Mazatlán

At around 4:18 PM on September 16, 2026, armed men arrived at a residence at the southern exit of Villa Unión, in Mazatlán municipality, and shot a 39-year-old man identified as René, originally from Durango, six times before fleeing. Municipal police responded to reports of gunfire and requested emergency medical services; Villa Unión firefighter-paramedics gave first aid before transporting him to a hospital in serious condition.
