Day 785: Armed Group Abducts Young Man and Sets His House on Fire in Culiacán's Campo El Diez

At around 10:41 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at least six armed men traveling in two pickup trucks forced their way into a home in the Piggy Back sector of Campo El Diez, southern Culiacán, at the intersection of Calle Tercera/Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and Roberto Laviaga. The occupants beat and abducted a 20-year-old identified as Gerardo Ulises 'N' before fleeing with him to an unknown location; as they left, one attacker threw a gasoline bottle inside the house, starting a fire. Culiacán firefighters extinguished the blaze before it spread further; the victim had not been located as of the initial reports.
