Day 757: Fourth Escuinapa Feminicide of August — Mireya, 50, Shot Outside Her Home

Mireya 'N', 50, a crab vendor, was shot multiple times on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, while sitting outside her home on Melchor Ocampo Street in the Centro neighborhood of Escuinapa, in the company of acquaintances. A young assailant arrived, drew a firearm, and opened fire without warning; Red Cross paramedics confirmed she had no vital signs. The FGE opened a feminicide investigation. It was Escuinapa's fourth feminicide of August 2026 — coming five days after 20-year-old Perla 'N' was killed inside a clothing store in the same municipal center — and the 13th woman killed statewide in Sinaloa that month.
