World Trade Center Building 7 Collapses

World Trade Center Building 7, a 47-story skyscraper housing the NYC Office of Emergency Management and offices of the CIA, DoD, and SEC, collapses due to fires ignited by debris from the North Tower collapse. The building had been burning for hours before emergency personnel, focused on surviving victims, were unable to fight the fires. The collapse is later investigated extensively by NIST.
