Houthis Claim Large-Scale Missile and Drone Attack on King Khalid Air Base

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed dozens of ballistic missiles and drones struck King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait on Sept 14, 2026, targeting 'aircraft hangars, radar systems, runways, ammunition depots and other military facilities' and causing 'significant losses' — claims not independently confirmed. Saudi Civil Defence issued an alert for Khamis Mushait before saying 'the danger has passed.' The Saudi-led coalition separately reported Houthi drone and missile strikes on Abha and Taif provinces the same day, causing minor injuries and damaging homes and vehicles.
