MBS Meets US CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper in Jeddah

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received US Central Command commander Admiral Brad Cooper and his delegation in Jeddah on Sept 14, 2026. Per the Saudi Press Agency, the two sides 'reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and the US, as well as the latest developments in the region,' with National Security Advisor Musaed Al-Aiban also attending. The meeting came as Houthi attacks on Saudi territory and Red Sea shipping intensified; MBS had earlier sought direct US military assistance against the Houthis from President Trump, but Washington offered intelligence-sharing and targeting support rather than US strikes.
