French Drone Kills ISGS Founder Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahrawi

A French Reaper drone strikes and kills Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahrawi, founder and leader of ISGS, in the Dangarous Forest near the Mali-Niger border southeast of Gao. He carried a $5 million US bounty. France announces the kill publicly September 16, 2021 after confirmation; the Islamic State confirms in Al-Naba newsletter October 14. He is succeeded by Abu al-Bara al-Sahrawi.
