Germany Flatly Rejects Trump's Strait of Hormuz Request
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius dismissed Trump's request for NATO military assistance in the Strait of Hormuz, asking: 'What does Trump expect a handful or two handfuls of European frigates to do in the Strait of Hormuz that the powerful US Navy cannot do?' Pistorius added 'This is not our war; we have not started it.' A spokesman for German Chancellor Friedrich Merz echoed: 'This war has nothing to do with NATO. It is not NATO's war.' European allies told Trump 'nein,' 'non,' and 'no' on helping force open the Hormuz Strait.
