KIA-Led Forces Sink Junta Vessel in Second Defile of the Ayeyarwady Near Nat Myet Hna Taung

A Military Commission vessel travelled downstream from Bhamo under cover of darkness on the night of September 13, 2026, and was attacked below Su Put Kone village before continuing to drift downstream. KIA-led forces attacked it again near Nat Myet Hna Taung, in the second defile of the Ayeyarwady River, at around 7:00 a.m. on September 14, setting it on fire and sinking it. Several senior officers — including a deputy commander of Military Operations Command 21, a G2 officer, and a battalion commander from Light Infantry Battalion 320 — reportedly escaped to shore by boat.
