Multiple Resistance Ambushes Kill Four SAC Troops Across Mon State — Ye and Mudon Townships
Resistance forces conducted two separate combat operations in Mon State on April 7, killing a total of four SAC soldiers. In Ye Township (southern Mon State), a PDF ambush killed one junta officer and two soldiers with no reported resistance casualties. Separately in Mudon Township — where junta troops had killed a civilian truck worker in an indiscriminate-fire incident on April 4 — fighters from the Ramanya Mon Army (an ethnic Mon resistance group) attacked junta positions and killed one SAC soldier. Mon State has seen expanding resistance operations since 2022, with PDF units and the Ramanya Mon Army increasingly coordinating to contest SAC control across townships bordering Karen State and Thailand.
