SAC Jets Strike Ngapayin Village, Butalin Township — ~10 Civilians Killed
On March 30, three SAC fighter jets conducted a sustained airstrike on Ngapayin village in Butalin Township, Sagaing Region, between approximately 1:00 PM and 2:15 PM local time. The jets dropped four bombs and fired rockets into the village over roughly 75 minutes. Approximately 10 civilians were killed, including pregnant women and infants; additional residents were critically injured with the death toll expected to rise. Witnesses reported no active clashes or resistance presence in the village at the time of the attack, consistent with the SAC's documented pattern of deliberately targeting civilian populations in resistance-sympathetic areas. The strike continued the junta's intensified aerial campaign across Sagaing Region throughout late March 2026.
