On March 29, SAC troops shelled a funeral gathering in Kanphyu Village, Kyaukpadaung Township, Mandalay Region, as villagers cremated three elderly women who had been killed in an earlier military raid that set their homes on fire. The deliberate targeting of a funeral constitutes a potential war crime under international humanitarian law.
