NUG Representative Meets French Senate — Seeks Concrete Support

On March 25, NUG representative Nan Su Mon Aung met with French Senator Pascal Allizard at the French Senate in Paris to discuss the ongoing Spring Revolution and options for practical international support. Senator Allizard had previously led a 2021 Senate motion calling for recognition of the NUG as Myanmar's legitimate government. The meeting reflects the NUG's continued diplomatic outreach to European partners as the junta pursues its 'civilian' transition designed to deflect international pressure. France has been among the European states more receptive to NUG engagement.
