AA Launches Concurrent Assaults on Ann and Ngape — Coordinated Multi-Front Rakhine Offensive

On March 24, concurrent with the ongoing assault on the Shwe Min Gan Naval Base near Sittwe (launched March 23), the Arakan Army launched additional offensive operations against remaining SAC positions in Ann Township and Ngape Township in Magway Region (on the border of Rakhine). Ann Township — previously the headquarters of the Western Regional Military Command before its capture in December 2024 — still hosts some residual SAC infrastructure and the coordinated attack on multiple points demonstrates the AA's strategy of denying the junta any foothold across the Rakhine-Magway corridor. The multi-axis offensive on March 23–24 represents the most significant AA push since the Ann capture in December.
