PDF Landmine Ambush Kills 2 Junta Soldiers in Minhla Township

On March 24, a PDF unit (Thayarwady District Battalion 3 / Strategy 22 PDF) ambushed a retreating junta column of approximately 50 troops near U To Bama Su village in Minhla Township, Bago Region, using a landmine. Two SAC soldiers were confirmed killed and three injured. The Bago Region continues to be an active front as PDF forces harry SAC troop movements along the Irrawaddy River corridor. The ambush reflects the continuing effectiveness of PDF hit-and-run tactics against junta formations.
