Junta Jets Strike Yaw Region — Six Fighter Aircraft Drop Eight Bombs

On the afternoon of March 24, the SAC launched an unprovoked airstrike against the Maulay junction area on the border of Gangaw and Htilin townships in Yaw region (Magway Region). At 1:22 PM, four fighter jets dropped six 500-pound bombs and fired three rockets; a follow-on strike at 2:43 PM saw two more jets drop two 300-pound bombs. Five men were confirmed injured in the attack. Local sources reported no active resistance presence in the immediate strike area at the time of the attack.
