Junta Bombs Arakan Army POW Camp — 116 Killed in Ann Township

| Myanmar

Myanmar Air Force jets struck an Arakan Army prisoner-of-war detention facility in the Dalet Chaung area of Ann Township, Arakan (Rakhine) State, killing 116 people — a combination of junta POWs and their family members — and wounding 32 others. According to Myanmar Peace Monitor, the strike was the deadliest of nine confirmed junta airstrikes on resistance-held detention camps since the civil war began, with a cumulative toll of 287 POWs killed and 177 injured across all such incidents. The AA condemned the attack as a deliberate war crime targeting its own captured soldiers.
