Interior Secretary Declares Order Restored in Sinaloa

Secretary of the Interior Adán Augusto López Hernández declared that 'order has been reestablished' in Sinaloa after eight days of cartel-driven violence. SEDENA reported deploying 3,586 soldiers during the operation, supported by Army Special Reaction Force units, the Parachute Riflemen Brigade, and the Special Forces Corps. The operation was widely seen as a reversal of the 2019 humiliation, demonstrating the government could withstand cartel retaliation.
