Texans Capture La Bahía (Goliad)
A Texan force under Captain George Collinsworth stormed the presidio La Bahía at Goliad, capturing the Mexican garrison and a substantial supply of arms and gunpowder. The victory gave Texans control of the only port on the lower coast and secured crucial military supplies for the revolution.
