UN Records 670 Projectile Movements in 24 Hours — Highest Since April Ceasefire

The United Nations recorded approximately 670 projectile movements in Lebanon on May 27, the highest single-day count since the April 17 ceasefire took effect. UNIFIL expressed deep concern over escalating hostilities, noting the record figure included rockets, drones, and artillery fired by both Israeli forces and Hezbollah. The Security Council's Lebanon monitoring report identified the May 27 surge as evidence of a breakdown in the ceasefire framework. The record came as Israel issued mass evacuation orders for Nabatieh and Tyre and as IDF forces engaged Hezbollah in ground combat north of the Litani River for the second consecutive day. Over 1,000 Hezbollah drones and 700+ rockets had been fired since the April 17 ceasefire, according to Israeli security analyses.
