Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Man Near Separation Barrier at Bir Nabala

Israeli forces shot and killed a young Palestinian man (reported variously as 19 or 20 years old) near the separation barrier in Bir Nabala, north of Jerusalem, after he allegedly attempted to cross into East Jerusalem in search of work. Troops opened fire, striking him in the abdomen; he was pronounced dead after ambulance crews arrived. The Israeli military did not immediately comment. The area near the barrier has seen repeated shootings of Palestinians attempting to cross.
