BPSC Exam Controller Suspended Over 'Dogs Bark' Remark

Bihar Public Service Commission examination controller Rajesh Kumar Singh, questioned by reporters about the ongoing student agitation over the 70th BPSC prelims and the TRE-4 teacher-recruitment format, invokes the Hindi proverb 'Hathi chale bazaar, kutta bhaunke hazar' ('the elephant walks through the market while a thousand dogs bark'), widely read as dismissing protesting students as barking dogs. The remark goes viral and draws sharp backlash, including from Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, who demands a public apology.
