Patna Students Clash With Police Over 70th BPSC Exam and TRE-4 Format

| India Youth Uprising

Thousands of BPSC and teacher-recruitment aspirants, joined by AISF, DYFI and NSUI activists, march roughly 5 km from Gandhi Maidan toward Raj Bhavan and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary's residence, demanding cancellation of the 70th BPSC preliminary exam over alleged paper leaks, a single-stage TRE-4 format, an end to negative marking, and full domicile-based recruitment. Police block the march at JP Golambar and the Dak Bungalow roundabout; when protesters break through barricades, officers respond with a lathi-charge and water cannons. A female demonstrator is found unconscious in the crush and several students are detained. Union minister Chirag Paswan visits the site to meet aspirants after the clash.
