CJP Announces September 5 Return March Over Broken July Promises
Weeks after ending its 50-day Jantar Mantar occupation, the Cockroach Janta Party announces it will return to the streets on September 5, marching from India Gate to Delhi Police headquarters on Jai Singh Marg, Connaught Place. The group says the government has honored only one of four July 25 commitments — Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation — while compensation for NEET suicide victims' families, withdrawal of FIRs against protesters, and an apology from Delhi Police and the RAF remain unmet. The march will be led by families of deceased NEET aspirants and alleged police-brutality victims. 'This cannot continue,' a CJP statement says. 'Our patience cannot be mistaken for weakness. Our good faith cannot become an opportunity for the Government to betray us.'
