Two Hand Grenades Recovered During Naka Checking in Baramulla's Kunzer, One Arrested

A joint security party comprising Police Station Kunzer, the Special Operations Group, CRPF's 176 Battalion and the Army's 2 Rashtriya Rifles recovered two hand grenades from a man during naka (checkpoint) checking at Wussan Bangil in Kunzer, north Kashmir's Baramulla district, on August 28, 2026. The suspect, identified as Shakir Nabi Lone of Hardu Aboora, Kunzer, attempted to flee on noticing security personnel but was apprehended on the spot; the grenades were recovered during a personal search. An FIR (No. 115/2026) was registered at Police Station Kunzer and investigation is underway.
