Pakistani Drones Cross LoC in Rajouri's Nowshera Sector, Army Foils Infiltration Bid

| India-Pakistan

Three suspected Pakistani drones crossed the Line of Control into the Rumlidhara area of the Nowshera sector, Rajouri district, late on the night of August 27-28, 2026; alert Indian Army troops opened fire, forcing the drones to retreat toward Pakistan. A search operation was launched to check for any dropped contraband, arms or narcotics; none had been recovered by evening. Separately on August 28, soldiers in the same general area noticed suspicious movement of a suspected infiltrator along the LoC; the intruder opened fire when challenged, troops retaliated, and the individual is believed to be hiding in the area as a large-scale search operation continues with senior officers monitoring. No casualties were reported in either incident.
