Pont-Sondé Massacre: 115+ Killed by Gran Grif Gang

| Haiti

The Gran Grif gang, led by Luckson Elan, attacked the town of Pont-Sondé in the Artibonite Department, killing at least 115 people—including babies, elderly women, and entire families—in one of Haiti's deadliest single gang attacks. Gunmen arrived by canoe to prevent escape. Over 6,270 people fled the area. The attack appeared to be retaliation against residents accused of supporting a rival anti-gang coalition. Government security forces arrived more than 24 hours late.
