First 400 Kenyan MSS Officers Arrive in Haiti

The first contingent of 400 Kenyan National Police Service officers landed in Port-au-Prince on June 25, 2024, nearly eight months after the UN authorized the MSS mission. The deployment was far below the authorized 2,500 force—Kenya had pledged 1,000—due to funding gaps, equipment shortfalls, and diplomatic delays.
