IDF Drone Strike Kills Rafah Brigade Sniper Commander Abu Libda in Hamad City
An Israeli drone strike hit a vehicle in Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, on September 10, 2026, killing Moamen Jabr Al-Sayed Abu Libda, 33. The IDF and Shin Bet identified him as commander of a Hamas sniper cell in the group's Rafah Brigade, saying he 'carried out sniper training across the Gaza Strip' aimed at harming Israeli civilians and IDF troops near the Yellow Line, in what the military called a systematic violation of the ceasefire. Palestinian sources said strikes in the area killed four people in total that evening, with additional drone strikes hitting a vehicle north of Khan Younis and a group of Palestinians in the al-Qubba area of Al-Mawasi.
