| Gaza War

Israeli strikes killed at least 19 Palestinians across Gaza on August 2, 2026 — the largest single-day death toll in weeks, according to Palestinian health officials, coming days after Trump's announced Hamas disarmament agreement. An air raid on a residential apartment in Al-Sousi Tower, western Gaza City, killed Abdullah Abu Taif (33), his pregnant wife Abeer Anan (29), and their 5-year-old son Azzam. A strike on an apartment in al-Qarara, northwest of Khan Younis, killed three members of the Al-Hams family: father Mahmoud (38), wife Fatima (37), and their young daughter. An elderly couple, Kamu Abu Muailiq (68) and his wife Huda (59), were killed near Deir al-Balah. Two brothers were killed on a motorbike; a drone strike on a displaced-persons' tent in the Remal neighborhood killed 2; a strike on a vehicle in Gaza City killed 4 more; and additional deaths were reported in Jabalia refugee camp and al-Mawasi.
