Israeli Forces Kill 5+ Palestinians Across Central and Northern Gaza in Multiple Incidents
On April 20, Israeli forces carried out multiple separate attacks across Gaza killing at least five Palestinians. In Al-Maghazi refugee camp (central Gaza), 25-year-old Hala Salem Darwish was shot dead inside her home by an Israeli sniper near the UNRWA clinic — days before her May 1 wedding. An Israeli aircraft struck a motorcycle in Nuseirat refugee camp, killing Ayman Abu Hasna and wounding three others transferred to al-Awda Hospital. In Al-Bureij camp, Anas Khaled Safi was killed by Israeli bombing. In the Halawa Displacement Camp in Jabalia (northern Gaza), 24-year-old Khalil Nasr was shot in the head by Israeli gunfire; two additional Palestinians were wounded hours later. A displaced man was killed by Israeli gunfire west of Deir al-Balah. The Gaza Ministry of Health confirmed the cumulative Palestinian death toll since the October 10, 2025 ceasefire framework has risen to 775, with 2,171 wounded — over 2,400 documented ceasefire violations. UN human rights chief Volker Türk noted on April 10 that 'movement itself has become a life-threatening activity' and that 'incidents of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces while walking, driving, or standing outside are recorded nearly every day.'
