AFC/M23 Captures Humura Commercial Center in Masisi, Presses Toward Walikale

AFC/M23 took control of the Humura commercial center in the Nyamaboko 1er grouping of Masisi territory, North Kivu, on Sept 6-7 after violent clashes with Wazalendo fighters. Local sources said no human or material toll from the fighting had been communicated as of Sept 7. The capture extends AFC/M23 pressure toward neighboring Walikale territory, notably the Waloa Uroba and Waloa Yungu groupings, bringing the rebels closer to Langira and Ntoto — areas already absorbing displaced families fleeing the wider Masisi-Walikale fighting that began in late August.
