DRC and Rwanda Sign Washington Accords

Foreign ministers of the DRC and Rwanda signed the Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity, committing Rwanda to disengage and withdraw forces from eastern DRC and the DRC to neutralize the FDLR, coupled with a regional economic integration plan tied to Congo's mineral wealth.
