Fidel Castro Dies at 90

Fidel Castro died in Havana at age 90, ending 57 years of political dominance over Cuba. His death was announced by Raúl Castro in a late-night television address. Nine days of national mourning were declared. His ashes were taken on a procession following the reverse route of the 1959 victory march, from Havana to Santiago de Cuba, where he was buried at the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery.
