BTS 'Arirang' World Tour — Second CDMX Concert at Estadio GNP

BTS performed the second of three scheduled concerts at Estadio GNP (the renovated Estadio Azteca) on May 9 as part of their 'Arirang' world tour, following the opening night on May 7 which drew 50,000 fans to the Zócalo for an impromptu appearance at the Palacio Nacional balcony alongside President Claudia Sheinbaum. A third and final CDMX show is scheduled for May 10. The tour's Mexico City stop is expected to generate over USD 100 million for the local economy. The Estadio GNP, central to CDMX's 2026 FIFA World Cup preparations, is hosting the K-pop megaconcerts as a test of post-renovation capacity. The city government deployed additional Metro and Metrobús capacity and established traffic management protocols around the stadium in Coyoacán.
