Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Metro Guelatao Station Leaves Several Injured

A multi-vehicle collision outside the Guelatao station on Metro Line A (Pantitlán–La Paz) in the Iztapalapa alcaldía on May 11 left several people injured and triggered an emergency response from SSC and paramedics. Affected individuals were transferred to nearby hospitals. The incident disrupted traffic in the eastern corridor serving Iztapalapa and adjacent municipalities in the State of Mexico. Metro Line A, which connects Pantitlán to La Paz and serves some of CDMX's most densely populated eastern alcaldías, continued operating during the incident. The accident highlights persistent road safety challenges in high-traffic transit corridors.
