Northwestern Ontario's Active Fire Count Falls to 45 as No New Starts Confirmed

Ontario Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services reported 45 wildland fires active across the Northwest Region by Sunday evening, Sept 13 (4 held, 11 under control, 30 being observed), with no new fires confirmed. The count continues a steady decline from 62 active fires on Sept 3, driven by low fire activity and improving fall weather; the Rinker Lake Complex (Thunder Bay 36/54, Dryden 34/35) was not separately remapped in this report.
