Mobile Launcher 1 Arrives at VAB — Artemis III Campaign Infrastructure Secured

| Artemis II

NASA's Mobile Launcher 1 completed its approximately 4-mile journey from Launch Complex 39B, arriving at the Vehicle Assembly Building at 11:40 a.m. EDT. Having departed LC-39B the previous morning at 8:11 a.m. EDT on Crawler-Transporter 2, the 380-foot-tall ML-1 tower traveled overnight to the VAB, where it will undergo additional checkouts, inspections, and repairs before Artemis III stacking operations begin. The tower sustained minor damage during Artemis II's April 1 launch and will require refurbishment before supporting the Artemis III mission — currently redesignated as a low-Earth orbit Starship HLS rendezvous and docking test targeted for launch in 2027.
