'Casa Gris' Scandal: AMLO's Son Lived in Baker Hughes Executive's Home

Investigative outlet Latinus and MCCI (Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity) revealed that AMLO's eldest son, José Ramón López Beltrán, and his wife had lived for approximately one year in a luxury home in Houston, Texas, owned by a senior executive at Baker Hughes — an oil services company holding Pemex contracts worth over US$151 million. AMLO accused reporter Carlos Loret de Mola of being a 'mercenary at the service of the mafia of power.' A second Casa Gris in Mexico City was reported in May 2023, belonging to an associate of the pro-government newspaper La Jornada.
