Security Forces Foil Suicide Attack on Military Post in Wana, South Waziristan
Pakistani security forces detected and repelled a suicide VBIED attempt on a military post at Kari Kot, near Wana, South Waziristan, on July 16, 2026. Four militants were killed with no reported security-force casualties. A curfew was imposed in Tehsil Sarwakai (Upper South Waziristan) from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. as sanitisation operations continued.
