Lend-Lease Act — US Supplies Allies

| World War II

President Roosevelt signed the Lend-Lease Act, authorizing the US to supply Britain and later the USSR and other Allies with war materials without requiring immediate payment. Lend-Lease ultimately transferred $50 billion in goods (equivalent to ~$650 billion today) to Allied nations. It marked a decisive end to US neutrality short of direct entry into the war.
