Thrive's Kushner Hires Elon Musk's Go-To Lawyer as UEFA Pursues Subpoena

Thrive Capital retained Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan — the attorney best known for defending Elon Musk in the Tesla 'funding secured' litigation and the Twitter acquisition dispute, as well as Jay-Z and Alec Baldwin — as UEFA pressed a Manhattan federal court for a subpoena of Thrive's internal documents. UEFA is seeking the records, along with material from FIFA and former Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei, to build a Swiss criminal complaint against Infantino for 'criminal mismanagement' over the abandoned World Cup stake-sale plan; UEFA's court filings state that 'neither Thrive nor Kushner is an anticipated defendant.'
