Senate Rejects Resolution to End Iran War, 49-50

The Senate voted 49-50 against a War Powers Resolution that would have directed Trump to remove US forces from hostilities against Iran absent congressional authorization. Republicans Rand Paul, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Thom Tillis joined Democrats in favor; Democrat John Fetterman voted against. It was the 14th such vote since the US and Israel began bombing Iran on Feb. 28, and the non-binding resolution carries no legal force.
